Horizons of Kent & Queen Anne's believes that all students deserve the opportunity to thrive. Anchored by a 6-week summer program, Horizons delivers a multi-year learning experience for scholars in grades PreK - 8 living communities subject to inequities, like the uneven distribution of resources. We provide targeted academic support as well as enrichment activities, character education, and social-emotional learning to provide our scholars with the opportunities that they need to succeed. Our students participate in field trips to inspire new possibilities and attend swim and chess lessons to build their confidence. Horizons students develop lifelong skills like commitment, persistence, and the ability to overcome personal challenges. Horizons is a transformational community-centered approach proven to close the opportunity gap for children and put them on a path to success in school and life.
