Our vision is a future in which every child thrives.

Horizons of Kent and Queen Anne's believes that all students deserve the opportunity to thrive. Anchored by a six-week summer program, Horizons delivers a multi-year learning experience for scholars in grades Pre-K through 8 living in underserved communities. We provide targeted academic support as well as enrichment activities, character education, and social-emotional learning to provide our scholars with the opportunities that they need to succeed. Our students participate in field trips to inspire new possibilities and attend swim lessons to build their confidence. Upon completing our summer program, we encourage alumni to participate in our High School Leadership program to prepare for future success. Horizons students develop lifelong skills like commitment, persistence when facing tasks, and the ability to overcome personal challenges. Horizons is a transformational community-centered approach proven to close the opportunity gap for children and put them on a path to success in school and life.
